How to Set Up DanaLock Door Access with Booking Board

This guide explains how to set up DanaLock door access so your center can offer automatic and controlled entry through the Booking Board App.
Once configured, access is handled automatically based on membership status, staff roles, and time rules.

What Can DanaLock Do?

DanaLock gives you full control over who can access your facility and when.

You can enable:

  • 24/7 access for members with an active membership

  • Restricted access during specific time windows

  • Automatic access during class times

  • Extended access for staff members

What You Need

Before starting, make sure you have the following:

  • DanaLock V3

  • DanaBridge (optional but recommended)

  • DanaLock App
    Available on App Store and Google Play

  • Booking Board admin access

Hardware Setup

If you use a magnetic lock:

  • 1× Universal Module per door

  • 1× DanaBridge

If you use a standard lock:

  • 1× DanaLock

  • 1× DanaBridge

Hardware can be purchased from multiple retailers (e.g. electronics or hardware stores) and does not need to be bought directly from DanaLock.

Step 1 — Install the Lock

  1. Follow DanaLock’s official installation guide.

  2. Make sure the lock can:

    • Lock

    • Unlock

    • Be operated manually

Do not continue until this works correctly.

Step 2 — Set Up the Lock in the DanaLock App

  1. Open the DanaLock App.

  2. Select Add new lock.

  3. Follow the setup instructions.

  4. Copy the Lock ID (example: DANA-XXXXXX).

You will need this ID later.

Step 3 — Connect DanaLock to Booking Board

  1. Go to System Settings.

  2. Open Access Control System.

  3. Select DanaLock.

  4. Click Setup.

  5. Go to Facilities → Centers.

  6. Click Edit on your center.

  7. Scroll to the Lock ID field.

  8. Paste the Lock ID from the DanaLock App.

  9. Click Save.

Step 4 — Test and Confirm

  1. Open the Booking Board App.

  2. Test door access as:

    • A member

    • A staff member

  3. Test access:

    • During opening hours

    • Outside opening hours

  4. Confirm everything works as expected.

Step 5 — Keep the door open for a specific time period (optional)

If you want the door to remain open for an extended period without automatically locking again (e.g. during events, open house hours, or when the reception is staffed), this can be configured directly in the DanaLock App.

How to do it:

  1. Open the DanaLock App.

  2. Select the relevant lock.

  3. Go to Settings.

  4. Select Relay settings.

  5. Set the relay duration to Infinite.

⚠️ Important
When the relay is set to Infinite, the door will remain open even if a time interval is configured in Booking Board.

Tips

  • Monitor the lock’s battery level

  • Place DanaBridge within 5 meters of the lock

  • Use test users to validate access rules

  • Check access logs in the Dashboard for troubleshooting

Result

Once setup is complete, members can unlock doors directly from the Booking Board App, and access is handled automatically based on membership and time rules.
