Understanding Global and Individual Class Settings

Class Settings

This article outlines how global class settings interact with individual class configurations and details the purpose of the ‘late cancellation’ setting.

Global Settings vs. Individual Class Settings

**Global Settings:**

By default, overarching class settings—including cancellation deadlines, activation of fines, or guest permissions—are applied to all classes on your schedule. These are managed within your primary system or class management settings.

**Individual Class Overrides:**

You have the option to tailor settings for specific classes. When creating or editing an individual class, you may customise elements such as cancellation deadlines, fine activation, or guest permissions. Any adjustments made at the class level will override the corresponding global setting for that specific class.

**Late Cancellation Setting:**

The ‘late cancellation’ setting determines the cut-off point after which members cannot cancel their booking for a class. If enabled, any attempt to cancel beyond this deadline will be blocked by the system. Based on your configuration, a late cancellation may also result in a fine being applied.
