Share a Document with Groups

Best for sharing general resources with specific membership types, employee roles, or groups.

  1. Open Document Hub: Navigate to the Document Hub from the main menu.

  2. Add New File: Click the Add button.

  3. Details: Enter a document name, set the folder path, and upload your file.

  4. Set Access: Use the Access section to define who can see the file based on the logic below.

Understanding Access Logic

The system uses "Aggregating" (OR) logic within a category and "Partitioning" (AND) logic across different categories:

Scenario

Access Logic

Result

Same Category

OR

If you select "Membership A" and "Membership B," anyone in either group can see it.

Cross-Category

AND

If you select "Membership A" and "Receptionist," only users who hold both that membership and that role can see it.

Tip: Always double-check your cross-category selections to ensure you aren't accidentally restricting a document too heavily.
